WHAT IS THE WEEKEND?
A Spiritual Retreat
When you grew up, things were very different. Nowadays, with social media and a million things pulling everyone’s time, attention, energy, and schedule from them.
With all the heavily marketed, high-energy, performance-based things going on all the time, there is a bigger need for spiritually intimate spaces and times for your youth to experience God with other God-loving people, in an atmosphere that prioritizes the presence of God, over the presence of marketable events and “God based performances”.
THE WEEKEND is a break from the high-paced world that pulls your kid in every direction, and it allows them to come together for a few days and soak in God’s word and His presence, without the underlying presence of highly produced and marketable events.
THE WEEKEND is simply, time with God, and fellowship with other youth who are seeking the same.
Theme for THE WEEKEND
The theme for our Biblical studies during THE WEEKEND is going to be “Rooted in Christ”. This is a Disciple Now curriculum that will be used throughout the weekend to give the students scriptural teaching and time to focus on the Word of God.
There will be multiple sessions over the three days that will include live worship and sermons, followed by small group studies and individual time for contemplation and further study.
